Rural Ottawa South Support Services (ROSSS) is a non-profit, charitable organization providing a gateway of excellence in the delivery of rural community support services and stands as an advocate and champion for the rights of both active and physically disabled seniors, adults with physical disabilities, and their caregivers.
Compassion, Respect, Equity, Collaboration, and Stewardship.
Our vision is to envisage a vibrant and healthy rural community where individuals have timely access to the full range of programs and services to support their well-being.
WHO WE ARE
Rural Ottawa South Support Services (ROSSS), conceived in 2011 with the merger of Rideau Community Support Services and the Osgoode Home Support Program, strives to ensure rural living is not a barrier to receiving and accessing the programs and services needed by those living in rural communities. In 2012, the ROSSS’ service area expanded so that we now provide community support services to a rural area that is roughly one-third the size of the City of Ottawa.
Our clients’ needs are our first concern. To support these needs we have 31 full-time and part-time employees, over 250 volunteers, and we are funded by the Champlain LHIN, the City of Ottawa, and United Way/Centraide Ottawa, as well as through the support of our kind and generous community sponsors.
